Pushing back on scope or a deadline in English

DifícilSêniorComportamental em inglês

Pergunta

Scenario: a manager asks, in English, if you can ship a feature by Friday. You don't think it's realistic. How do you push back without sounding negative or uncommitted?

Resposta esperada

Don't just say "no" or "that's impossible" — give information and options. Pattern: acknowledge the goal, state the constraint factually, offer a path. "I want to hit Friday too. The piece that worries me is the payment integration — realistically that's three days on its own, plus testing. Two options: we ship the rest Friday and the payment part early next week, or we cut the discount-code sub-feature and the core flow makes Friday. Which trade-off works better for you?" This reads as engaged and solution-oriented. Phrases that help: "Here's what I can commit to...", "The risk I see is...", "If we drop X, then Y is doable." Phrases to avoid: "impossible", "that's not enough time" with no alternative, over-apologizing.

Por que perguntam isso

Desafio de inglês + negociação. Conecta com 'lidar com prazo apertado'. Bom candidato dá opções com trade-off em inglês, não um 'não' seco.
