Giving a daily standup update in English

Structure: (1) what you finished since yesterday, (2) what you're working on today, (3) anything blocking you or that you need from someone — named explicitly. Keep it to ~30 seconds. Useful phrasing: "Yesterday I wrapped up X.", "Today I'm picking up Y.", "I'm blocked on Z — I need the staging credentials from the infra team." Bad updates: a vague "still working on the same thing" with no detail (nobody can help or plan); a five-minute deep-dive into implementation (that's a follow-up, not standup); listing activity instead of progress ("I looked at some code"); and hiding a blocker to avoid looking stuck — the blocker is the single most valuable thing to surface.
